Jurnal Informatika dan Teknik Elektro Terapan (JITET) published it's first articles in 2013, on Volume 1 Issue 1, with ISSN Number: 2303-0577 (SK ISSN : 2303-0577 (Nomor SK ISSN: 0005.244/JI.3.2/SK.ISSN/2012.11), and published 3 times a year, January, April, and August.

- The first editor-in-chief was Dr. Eng. Dikpride Despa, S.T., M.T., IPM, ASEAN.Eng., she served from 2013-2016.

- Since 2016-2020, JITET has not published articles, because the new management of the Journal has not been formed.

- It was in 2021 that the latest JITET journal management was formed, with the Editor-in-chief being Ir. Gigih Forda Nama, S.T., M.T.I., IPM.

During publishing scientific publications in the field of Informatics and Electrical Engineering, JITET uses 3 versions of paper templates;

- Template version 1, used in the period 2013-2021 (Vol. 9 No. 1 in 2021).
- Template version 2, used in the period 2021 (Vol. 9 No. 2 - Vol. 9 No. 3 in 2021).
- Template version 3, used in 2022 until now.

JITET has been indexed by; SINTA, Crossref, Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, IOS (Indonesia OneSearch), Garuda (Garba Digital Reference), Dimension, Index Copernicus, Citefactor.

2024 - Changes in editorial policy to only accept articles written in English or Indonesia and Changes in editorial policy to require Mandatory author declaration for each newly submitted article, also Changes in editorial policy to only require the transfer of publication right from the author.
