Pentanahan Sistem Tenaga Dengan Ground Plates, Ground Ring Dan Effective Grounding
Abstract
Power system grounding is an important part of limiting overvoltage, as well as protecting equipment from damage due to current and voltage disturbances. This study aims to implement a grounding system of ground plates, ground rings, and effective grounding. The research method was carried out in two types of soil media, namely in clay and wet sand using calculations on the resistance of plate electrodes, round-shaped ribbon electrodes, and a combination of both. The results showed the combined resistance value in clay was 13.93 ohms, 27.92 ohms while in wet sand it was 27.8 ohms, 55.86 ohms. The results showed that the type of soil greatly affects the value of grounding resistance, where providing a smaller resistance value than wet sand can increase the protection of the electrical system.
