ANALISIS KONSUMSI DAYA DAN QUALITY OF SERVICE PADA MOBILE AD-HOC NETWORK MENGGUNAKAN PROTOKOL AODV
Abstract
Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) merupakan jaringan nirkabel infrastrukturless yang memungkinkan perangkat berkomunikasi secara langsung melalui mekanisme multi-hop. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis performa jaringan MANET menggunakan protokol routing AODV berdasarkan parameter QoS dan konsumsi energi. Simulasi dilakukan menggunakan NS 3 dengan variasi jumlah node yaitu 20, 40, dan 60 node yang merepresentasikan kepadatan perangkat pada suatu wilayah. Komunikasi jaringan menggunakan WiFi IEEE 802.11b pada frekuensi 900 MHz dengan ukuran paket 512 byte dan waktu simulasi 1000 detik. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan jumlah node menyebabkan penurunan nilai PDR dan throughput serta peningkatan delay dan jitter akibat meningkatnya kepadatan jaringan dan perubahan topologi. Pada skenario 20 node diperoleh PDR sebesar 92,44%, sedangkan pada 40 dan 60 node masing-masing sebesar 86,29% dan 84,68%. Pada konsumsi daya sekenario energi awal di tetepakan 1000 joule menghasilkan 399.12 joule pada sekenario 20 node dan pada sekenario 40, 60 konsumsi daya menjunjukan nilai yang tidak jauh berbeda yaitu 40 node 857.47 joule dan 60 node 868.86 joule yang menunjukan bahwa semakin banyak jumlah node semakin sedikit konsumsi daya yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa protokol AODV masih mampu mempertahankan komunikasi multi-hop dengan performa yang relatif stabil meskipun jumlah node meningkat.
