Krisis energi dan meningkatnya konsumsi listrik di sektor bangunan menimbulkan tantangan serius bagi keberlanjutan energi di Indonesia. Sebagai negara berkembang dengan tingkat urbanisasi yang tinggi, Indonesia perlu mengadopsi solusi inovatif yang mendukung efisiensi energi sekaligus ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi komparatif dari berbagai material transparent photovoltaic (TPV) yang didesain untuk fungsi ganda pada bangunan pasif, yaitu sebagai elemen jendela transparan dan sekaligus sebagai penghasil energi listrik. Dengan meningkatnya tuntutan akan arsitektur yang berkelanjutan, integrasi teknologi TPV dinilai mampu mengurangi konsumsi energi tanpa mengorbankan pencahayaan alami. Evaluasi dilakukan berdasarkan parameter efisiensi konversi daya, transmisi cahaya tampak, insulasi termal, dan daya tahan material. Hasilnya menunjukkan kompromi antara transparansi dan efisiensi, serta menyarankan pilihan material yang paling sesuai dengan konteks iklim dan kebutuhan arsitektur tropis. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan teknologi bangunan pintar dan mendukung desain selubung bangunan yang hemat energi dan estetis.
