Abstract
Abstrak. Penelitian ini membahas implementasi kontrol PID dalam menjaga kestabilan level air pada tandon rumah tangga menggunakan simulasi MATLAB. Topik ini penting mengingat kebutuhan pengendalian level air secara otomatis untuk efisiensi dan keamanan. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan merancang model sistem ketinggian air tandon berkapasitas 1.500 liter, kemudian dilakukan simulasi respon kontrol PID dan variasi komponennya (P, PI, PD) untuk mengetahui karakteristik sistem. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa kontrol PID memberikan performa terbaik dengan respon cepat, stabil, dan akurat dalam mencapai setpoint tanpa overshoot signifikan dan tanpa steady-state error. Kontrol P dan PD kurang optimal karena masih terdapat error akhir atau overshoot, sedangkan kontrol PI lebih lambat namun akurat. Temuan ini penting untuk pengembangan sistem otomatisasi pengisian air yang efisien dan andal.
Abstract. This study discusses the implementation of PID control to maintain the stability of water levels in household tanks using MATLAB simulation. This topic is important due to the need for automatic water level control to improve efficiency and safety. The research method involved designing a water level system model for a 1,500-liter tank, followed by simulations of PID control and its component variations (P, PI, PD) to analyze system characteristics. Simulation results showed that PID control delivered the best performance with fast, stable, and accurate responses in reaching the setpoint without significant overshoot and steady-state error. P and PD controls were less optimal due to residual steady-state error or overshoot, while PI control was slower but accurate. These findings are significant for the development of efficient and reliable automatic water filling systems.
