Abstract

Transformasi digital telah menjadi agenda utama dalam pembangunan nasional maupun global, di mana integrasi teknologi canggih menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, produktivitas, dan kualitas layanan. Salah satu teknologi yang memegang peranan sentral dalam proses ini adalah Internet of Things (IoT), yaitu konsep di mana berbagai perangkat fisik terhubung ke jaringan internet dan dapat saling bertukar data serta melakukan tindakan otomatis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana penerapan teknologi IoT dapat mendorong keberhasilan proses digitalisasi di berbagai sektor, mengidentifikasi manfaat yang dihasilkan, serta menguraikan tantangan yang masih dihadapi dalam implementasinya di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan analisis kasus nyata di beberapa sektor strategis seperti pemerintahan, industri, pertanian, dan kesehatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan IoT mampu mengubah cara kerja sistem secara signifikan, mengurangi kesalahan manusiawi, mempercepat proses pengambilan keputusan berbasis data, dan membuka peluang inovasi baru. Namun, masih terdapat hambatan seperti infrastruktur jaringan yang belum merata, biaya investasi awal yang tinggi, serta masalah keamanan dan privasi data yang perlu diselesaikan agar manfaat teknologi ini dapat dirasakan secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi berupa rekomendasi bagi pemangku kepentingan dalam merumuskan kebijakan dan strategi penerapan IoT yang efektif dan berkelanjutan.
