Jurnal Mechanical (e-ISSN 2460-1888 and p-ISSN 2087-1880) is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scientific articles from the disciplines of mechanical engineering, which includes the field of study (peer) material, production and manufacturing, construction and energy conversion. Articles published in the journal Mechanical include results of original scientific research (original), and a scientific review article (review). Mechanical journal published by University of Lampung and managed by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering for publishing two periods a year, in March and September . Editors receive manuscripts in mechanical engineering from various academics, researchers and industry practitioners. The authors in the Journal of Mechanical derived from various Higher Education institutions, especially universities outside the University of Lampung and national research institutes.Editorial Board of Journal of Mechanical stated that online media is both a scientific and specialized publishing scientific articles on original scientific research results (original) and review the field of mechanical engineering science.
Please read these guidelines carefully. Authors who want to submit their manuscript to the editorial office of MECHANICAL should obey the writing guidelines. If the manuscript submitted is not appropriate with the guidelines or written in a different format, it will BE REJECTED by the editors before further reviewed. The editors will only accept the manuscripts which meet the assigned format. In the following year of publication, Mechanical is going to publish journals twice in two terms: March and September. MECHANICAL accept original as well as critical review contributions providing insight in the field of manufacturing and industrial mechanics i.e. green manufacturing, analytical and computational of rigid-body mechanics (e.g. dynamics, vibration, stability), structural mechanics, materials processing, metal forming, advanced materials (metals, composite, polymer, ceramics, cellular, smart, etc.), biomaterials and biomechanics, fluid dynamics, tribology, thermodynamics, energy and sustainability, and other related aspects to Mechanical Engineering and Technology.
Submitted manuscripts will generally be reviewed by one to two experts who will be asked to evaluate whether the manuscript is scientifically sound and coherent, whether it duplicates the already published works, and whether or not the manuscript is sufficiently clear for publication. The method is blind peer review.
Peer-review process:
1. Editor recieving manuscript from author;
2. Editor evaluate the manuscript (journal aim and scope, in house style, supplementary data); (Rejected if not meet criteria)
3. Editor screening for plagiarism on offline and online database manually; (Rejected if found major plagiarism, contacted author if found redunancy or minor plagiarism for clarification)
4. Editor send manuscript to reviewer along with review form (double blind review, Both reviewer and author remain anonymous to each other);
5. Reviewer send back his review form to Editor (with revised manuscript if necessary);
6. Editor decision (rejected, require revision, or accepted);
7. Confirmation to the Author. If revision, author revised manuscripts and should be returned to the editor without delay. Returned later than four months will be considered as new submissions.

Para penulis di Jurnal Mechanical berasal dari berbagai institusi Perguruan Tinggi, tertutama Perguruan Tinggi di luar Universitas Lampung maupun lembaga riset Nasional.
Dewan Redaksi Jurnal Mechanical menyatakan bahwa media online ini adalah bersifat ilmiah dan mengkhususkan penerbitan atas artikel ilmiah hasil penelitan ilmiah asli (orisinil) dan review bidang ilmu teknik mesin.
